Insight course in Greece
This December, the UK Defence, Hellenic and UK P&I Club will host it's first regional insight course. The course will run for two days on 6th & 7th December and will be held at the Hilton Hotel, Athens. On the first night of the course there will be a reception at the Hilton Hotel.
The Insight course is aimed at executives and managerial staff who are in the early stages of their careers and those who do not have specialist insurance and claims experience. It is designed for executives new to the industry but it is also suitable for those who wish to broaden or refresh their knowledge.
The course will give an overview of the maritime and transport industry, essentially a “Who’s who” of key players in the insurance market.
The practical emphasis continues with interactive workshops on cargo claims, personal injury claims, charterparty issues and dealing with collisions, pollution and dock damage.

Insight 2011
The 13th Annual Thomas Miller Insight into Transport Law and Insurance took place in London over three days on the 27th to 29th of September in the London office of Thomas Miller & Co.
Eighteen delegates from the membership of UK Defence, ITIC, TT, UK P&I and War Risk Club's took part in the course.
For the last thirteen years the Club has held its Insight into Transport Law and Insurance course, both for executives new to the industry and for those who wish to refresh their knowledge.
It is an intensive programme which emphasises the practical application of the topics covered through case study and discussion. There are social events planned every evening giving an opportunity for delegates to meet executives from the Club .
