The UK Club possesses the largest international office network in the P&I industry. Offices in New Jersey, San Francisco, London, Piraeus, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo are manned by dedicated UK Club service teams. Recruited from a variety of operational, legal and technical backgrounds, they combine in-depth expertise with awareness of commercial realities – to advise on shipping, liability and insurance issues.
Security provision - worldwide
The Club's reputation benefits Members through the willingness of authorities and operators around the world to accept Club letters of undertaking in respect of claims, thus freeing ships to continue trading whilst the claim is resolved.
In the event a financial guarantee is required, key staff in the Club's worldwide office network are able to facilitate such security within the local time zone.
Major casualty expertise
The UK Club hosts the largest concentration of major casualty experience in the industry.
Cases ranging from major bodily injury cases, both ashore and at sea, through to oil pollution, fire, collision and groundings have been handled effectively and sensitively throughout the world by our executives.
Contingency plans have been made to enable Thomas Miller P&I to respond swiftly to a major claim or casualty. If such an event occurs outside normal office hours please use the contact procedures detailed above. These apply not only to specialists and senior claims personnel in the UK, but also offices in the Americas and Asia Pacific.
