The UK P&I Club was kindly invited by the General Secretary of the Turkish Oceangoing Masters Association, who is also a member of IFSMA (International Fed of Ship Master’s Associations) to attend a dinner in Istanbul last Saturday.
Stuart Edmonston and Sue Jamieson (pictured) represented the UK P&I Club.
Others attending the event included Shipowners, Class Societies, Clubs Correspondents, Insurance Brokers and Law Firms. Around 200 people were in attendance.
The UK P&I Club was not only mentioned in a speech given by the President of the Turkish Ocean-Going Masters Association, but was also presented a glass plaque in appreciation of the Club’s attendance and contribution to the event. Any profits made from the event would be invested in training of the sea cadets.
