US marine casualty reporting

From 1st July 2016 the US Coast Guard has an amended CG-2692 form for marine casualty reporting. The new form has been streamlined to ease the burden of reporting.

What has changed?

The new form contains several changes, including the following:

  •  New addendum forms added
  • Forms can now be completed electronically and includes a digital signature feature
  • Titles and labels have been amended to more closely align with the text and terms found in US statutory and regulatory language
  • Superfluous data fields have been removed
