On 18th, 19th and 20th February 2004, the Club's Loss Prevention Director, Karl Lumbers conducted three presentations and workshops on the Human Element in Mumbai, which included the showing of the Club's DVD No Room For Error. The Anglo-Eastern Training Conference was organised by Pradeep Chawla and attended by about 200 people including Anglo-Eastern crews and shipowner clients, including UK Club Members.

The Association of Maritime and Education Training Institutions in Asia Pacific's (AMETIAP) Conference was chaired by Rod Short and opened by Capt PS Barve, Nautical Adviser to the Indian Government. Attendees included Dr Helen Sampson and Professor Mick Bloor of the Seafarers' International Research Centre, Cardiff.

Capt Lumbers also gave a presentation to members of the Nautical Institute, Mumbai Branch.
