Mike Jarrett, Karl Lumbers and Louise Hall attended the 19th Annual CMA Shipping Conference [http://www.shipping2004.com] in Stamford Connecticut.
As usual, the Club maintained a stand there and met many Members and other friends and contacts. Among Members and friends attending were Peter Georgiopoulos (who was named 2004 CMA Commodore), Henning Oldendorff, Michael McLure, Graham Porter, Harley Franco, Capt Vasily Dimitrov, Rajaish Bajpaee, Dr Martin Stopford, Peter Swift, Lars Carlsson, Roger Holt, Jim Lawrence, RADM Robert North, and Bill France. Karl Lumbers, the UK Club's Loss Prevention Director, gave a presentation on the Human Factor and showed the Club's DVD No Room For Error.
