Shipping China Conference 2005 in Shanghai
The second Shipping China Conference was held in Shanghai on 3rd and 4th March 2005 and attracted 500 delegates to hear presentations and discussions from a wide range of speakers including Dr Martin Stopford of Clarksons, Arthur Kroeber of China Economic Quarterly, Stephen Van Dyke and Dr Peter Swift of Intertanko, Jacques Michaux of the EU DG Tren, Bruce Carlton of US Marad, Li Kejun of China Class, shipbrokers, shipbuilders , class societies, bankers and shipowners.
Speakers from owners included Wang Chunlin of Sinotrans, Mohammed Souri of NITC, Gao Yanming of Hebei Ocean, Gary Smith of Shell, Atle Jebsen and Chris Williams of Graig. Shipowners and managers attending the conference included UK Club Director Guiseppe Bottligeri, V Ships' Roberto Giorgi and Lim Leng Pin and Rajaish Bajpaee of Eurasia.
