UK Club Attends IUMI Conference

The Audience


The annual IUMI (International Union of Marine Underwriters) Conference was held in Amsterdam between 17th and 21st September 2005.

One of the themes of the conference was 'Marine Insurance - Essential to Global Trade' and it was opened by Jan Koperniki of Shell and UK Club Director and Mr C. Economou, Directorate General for Energy and Transport (DG TREN), European Commission. Capt Karl Lumbers addressed the conference on the cost of human error claims in the shipping industry.
