On 20th October 2005, Club Members Tokyo Marine christened and launched their 19.990 dwt chemical tanker 'Azalea Galaxy' at Shin Kurushima Dockyard, Hiroshima.
Moto Sugiura, the Club's Representative in Japan and Paul Sessions attended the christening and launch, which was performed respectively by Ms Kew Hui Chin of Shell Eastern Chemicals and Mrs Gitte Joergensen, the wife of Mr. Engelholm of Aarhus Karlshamn on behalf of Hirohiko Tanaka, President and Mr. Shiko Naito, Senior Managing Director of Tokyo Marine, Mr. Hideharu Sakuma, President, K N Maritime Co Ltd and invited guests.
