On Monday 12th February Lloyd’s Register and the UK Club held a press launch for the Marine Pollution Prevention Pocket Checklist at the Lloyd's Register building in London.
The checklist was produced by experts from Lloyd's Register and the UK Club. It advises masters and owners about their general approach to Port State Control over prospective and actual pollution, and highlights MARPOL deficiencies found in its own classed fleet by PSC.
Alan Gavin, Marine Director at Lloyd's Register and Karl Lumbers, the UK Club’s Loss prevention director both gave presentations at the launch and answered questions on the publication.
Two press releases on the booklet are available here and further information can be found in the loss prevention area.
