21st Annual UK Club Mountain Climb

 


We held the 21st Annual UK Club Mountain Climb, known as the "UKMC", on 19th May at Munkyong Saejae Provincial Park about 150 kilometres from Seoul.

Incoming Regional Chairman for Thomas Miller Asia Pacific John Morris hosted his first UKMC. His welcome provided the opportunity to note the importance of the Korean ship owners to the Club and thank them for the long-term loyalty to the association. Thomas Miller was also represented by Peter Lau, Do Young Kim and outgoing Regional Director Christopher Brown.

Fellow climber Richard Carpenter was one of a small band who had participated in the very first UKMC. Richard was the Miller claims executive principally responsible for supporting the Club's Korean Members until his retirement in 2001.

Our grateful thanks go to Hyopsung Shipping the Club's general correspondent in Korea, and Mr K H Kim in particular, for organising another highly successful event.
