UK Club attends Shanghai International Maritime Forum

 


The Shanghai International Maritime Forum 2007 was held between 7th-8th November 2007, and attracted many delegates from China and overseas. The SIMF 2007 was organised by the China and Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration.

The theme of the forum was Global Focus on Oil and Transportation and Marine Environment Protection.

It was opened by the Engineer-General of Communications Qian Jiang, the Chairman of MEPC Mr Andreas Chrysostomou, and Mr Xiong Yang, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai as well as a representative of IMO.

Chao Wu, the UK Club's Legal director, gave a presentation on Shipowners' Responsibility on Global Environmental Protection. For full details of the event visit the Shanghai International Maritime Forum website.
