IMO International Maritime Law Institute, Malta Visit 17th May 2005
24 Graduates of the 16th IMLI Course visited London on a field trip following their graduation in Malta. Thomas Miller organised visits to Lloyd's Building, the Baltic Exchange and to Trinity House.
Bill Lines gave a lecture on the Baltic Exchange, Jim Harrison gave a lecture on Lloyd's Register and Nick Whitear rounded the lectures off with P&I, communications and the media.
The highlight of the field trip is always the boat trip on the Thames. This year the trip coincided with a firework display at the end, a great memory for the graduates before they return to their countries. Guests on the boat trip included Dr Rosalie Balkin and Gaetano Librando from the IMO, Dr Aleka Mandaraka-Sheppard (UCL) and Professor Francis Reynolds (Oxford).
