All countries in the European Union will be moving their clocks forward one hour at 0100 on Sunday 30th March to utilise Daylight Saving Time. Daylight Saving Time will continue until Sunday October 26th.
From the last Sunday in March until the last Sunday in October the UK moves its clocks forward from Greenwich Mean Time by one hour (GMT+1). Daylight saving time is known as British Summer Time or BST for short. Since 1996 all clocks in the European Union, of which the UK is a member state, have changed on same dates and at the same time, 0100 GMT.
The United States has already changed to Daylight Saving Time on March 9th this year. The corresponding change back is on the first Sunday in November i.e. November 2nd 2008. Bermuda follows the same procedure on daylight saving time as the United States
Approximately 70 countries utilize Daylight Saving Time in at least a portion of the country. They all save one hour in the summer and change their clocks some time between midnight and 3:00 a.m.

The majority of Asian countries do not adopt daylight saving time. Generally, equatorial and tropical countries have little advantage in moving clocks forward during the summer when daylight hours do not vary seasonally.
