A summary table has been added to the Bunker Convention certification resource launched on this website last week. Each of the 22 countries in which this convention enters into force is listed on this table together with notes on contact details, application procedure, starting date of certification and whether they are issuing certificates for non-Member States ships.
A resource page for each country is linked to this table where Members can find the resources that have been researched and compiled to date. As we acquire further information on the procedures and requirements for achieving certification they will be added to the relevant country page. The latest updates will continue to appear on the Bunkers Convention list below as the information is acquired.
An additional circular on the Club’s procedure for issuing Blue Cards in respect of Bunkers Convention has been published this week. We recommend all Members refer to this circular which contains important advice on the information about Members’ ships which will appear on the Blue Card.
Any queries regarding the Club’s response to the Bunkers Convention should be directed to Dr Chao Wu, Legal Director for Thomas Miller P&I.
Hybrid capital
The announcement of a hybrid capital issue by the Club has attracted considerable attention in the international financial and trade press. Lloyds List have kindly given us their permission to reproduce their review of the issue which was published on the 10th July. The article can be found together with the Q&A sheet issued together with our Chairman’s letter at the start of the week.
