We are pleased to report that once again Thomas Miller passed its six monthly ISO assessment visit.
Last year Thomas Miller successfully completed its re-certification audit under the international quality management system standard ISO 9001:2000. This third three-year period of certification is designed to ensure that companies focus their management systems on meeting the needs and service requirements of customers.
Although the re-certification is valid for three years, the assessors carry out intermediate audits to ensure that the standards they have previously verified are continue to be maintained.
Activities in support of Member service were reviewed in visits to Singapore, Shanghai and San Francisco by assessors from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. The final report published this week states that "Our system remains to a good standard ... especially in respect to meeting customer and associated regulatory requirements"
To reach the high standards required by ISO 9001:2000, Thomas Miller has to demonstrate how all elements of its management work together to meet Member requirements. This includes linking business objectives with regional and local targets and individual performance standards; having consistent working practices; identifying training needs; and listening and acting on Member feedback on performance.
