Bulletin 556 - 12/07
Naptha Loading - Vitino - Russia

The Club's correspondents in Murmansk advise that they have recently experienced contamination problems with cargoes of Naptha out of Vitino (67 05 N 32 20 E) in northern Russia.

Naptha loaded from rail tank wagons has been found to contain foreign bodies, including rust and sand particles. The condition of some of these rail wagons may be suspect.

Members loading naptha from Vitino should ensure all precautions are taken prior to accepting cargo from rail tank wagons in this port and if in any doubt should seek assistance from the Club.
