- Public Taxis
The taxi fare is approximately HK$300 from HK Airport to Kowloon territories, and HK$400 to Hong Kong territories. They only accept Hong Kong currency and there may occasionally be a language problem. Journey time is about 45 - 60 min from Airport to Hong Kong Island.
- Airport Express
There is an excellent fast train service from the airport to Hong Kong Station in Central District about 23min. This costs HK$100 one way and HK$180 round trip (valid for one month). Tickets are purchased from machines (which accept HK currency and notes but not credit cards) or from the Customer Service Centre (which does accept credit cards). The train, which is on the same level as the Arrivals Hall, is only a short walk from the exit to the Customs Hall, and trolleys may be used up to the train doors. Free porter service is available at Airport, Tsing Yi, Kowloon and Hong Kong stations to help Airport Express passengers with their baggage. There are two stops before Hong Kong Station which is the final stop.
On arrival at Hong Kong Station there are plenty of taxis, which only accept cash. The minumum taxi fare is HK$15 (they are allowed to charge extra for luggage). You can travel to any district on Hong Kong Island by taxi.
Free Airport Express Shuttle Bus Service
A scheduled shuttle bus leaves Hong Kong stations every day. It takes Airport Express passengers to and from major hotels and key transport interchanges. Service hours from 6:20 a.m. to 11:10p.m, leaving at 24-minute intervals.
