Other Services - IT

During the last decade, Millers have expanded their use of IT and extended their network to include all their offices, and have made innovative use of the internet. Millers won the EEMA Award for Pan-European Implementation of Electronic Commerce. Members of the IT department are in regular contact with all those who have computer links to the Club, as well as those in the process of establishing such links.

 Mark Lawton (MRL)
Mark is Head of IT for Miller's worldwide operations. He joined Millers in 1983 and has extensive knowledge of both underwriting and claims systems. Before taking on his current role Mark had many years of experience as a project manager working in a multi-project environment.

 Stephen Lambert (SML)
Stephen joined Millers IT department in 1988. He has a BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry. He is the IT manager responsible for the Club's software development and is actively involved with the International Group's electronic fees project known as Feesable.
 David Lewis (DBL)
David joined Millers IT department in 1985. He has overall responsibility for development and implementation of the computer systems supporting the P&I claims syndicates. He is the business analyst responsible for the design and implementation of the IT systems supporting the claims handling processes for the P&I, Defence and TT Clubs

 Neil Staff (NS)
Neil has particular responsibility for the development of the P&I and Defence Clubs' IT systems. Neil joined Millers in 1978 and has experience in P&I and defence underwriting.

 Alan Dainty (ASD)
Alan joined Millers in August 1996. He previously worked for a large UK based computer company responsible for delivering IT consultancy and software services. He is manager of the network services team.
