Colin Legget

Colin is a Risk Assessor in the Club's Loss Prevention department. Focused primarily on the Americas region, he is responsible for undertaking safety assessments on Members' ships and supporting members on risk management. 

Prior to joining Thomas Miller in 2022, Colin served at sea for 15 years and has shore-based experience managing QHSE performance of vessels operating in the offshore oil and gas sector. His shore-based positions include Marine Superintendent, DPA & CSO (ISM Designated Person Ashore and ISPS Company Security Officer). He is a qualified and experienced ISM/ISPS/ISO marine auditor, Kelvin TOP-SET incident investigator, and HAZID Director. 

Colin sailed as Mate before heading-up operations in on-board positions such as Operations Integrity Supervisor, QHSE Advisor, Party Manager, and Client Representative on vessels engaged in offshore projects for oil and gas companies. He has experience with a range of vessel types including ROV Support, Dive Support, Cable Lay, Seismic Survey, Platform Supply, and Polar Research vessels.
