TM(A) is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey and is the Club's regional office in the Americas. The two TM(A) offices in Jersey City and San Francisco provide claims handling services to the Members of the Club based in the Americas and act as the exclusive claims correspondent for all Members of the Club trading to North America. TM(A) monitor the performance of all Club correspondents in the Americas region and also provide support to Club Members worldwide by providing data and advice to Members on pollution and environmental matters.
The TM(A) New Jersey office provides claims and other services for Members based in New York, the East Coast USA, the US Gulf, East Coast Canada and the Great Lakes. They also handle all claims for all Club Members arising in the East Coast of Canada and the USA including the US Gulf, plus the Great Lakes.

Mike joined Thomas Miller in March 1980 with an Honours degree in Law. Prior to joining Thomas Miller Mike had worked in Hambros Bank and on the staff of the Law Courts in South London.
Mike worked in the London office claims syndicate dealing with the P&I and Defence members in Scandinavia,Switzerland, North and South America and managed that syndicate from 1986-1992. In February 1993 Mike moved to the Thomas Miller office in New York City at an early phase of the Thomas Miller policy of regionalisation of the Clubs claims service. Mike was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Thomas Miller (Americas ) Inc in August 2001.
Mike joined TMA in April 2013 after 30 years with a leading maritime law firm in New York City. He has practical experience as a licensed officer on board US-flag merchant vessels and handles P&I and Defence claims.
Noreen joined TMA in 2012 after 13 years with a US litigation firm and six years as a claims manager for a global container shipping company. A member of the Bar she handles all types of P&I claim.
Dee practiced law in New York City for 17 years with a well-known maritime law firm focusing on general cargo and bodily injury claims. She joined TMA in December 2007 as a generalist, with a focus on bodily injury claims.
She is a member of the Bodily Injury Team.
Rafael joined the Club in August 2016. Rafael is a lawyer from Venezuela with LL.M degree in Admiralty and Maritime Law from Tulane University (New Orleans, LA). He came from a law firm in Venezuela where he used to practice maritime law, and oil and gas law for 16 years in cases involving several jurisdictions in Latin America. He currently handles P&I and FD&D claims in the Americas mainly focusing in South and Central America for the Members of the UK Club.
Rafael is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (native speaker).
Marina is an attorney and a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. She has a US CG licence as a Third Mate . She worked for a Shipowner in operations on tankers / bulkers and has also worked for ABS . She was in the Coast Guard reserve as a marine inspector.
Jim joined TMA 2017 after earning his LL.M. in Admiralty Law from Tulane University. He received his J.D. from Gonzaga University, is a member of the Washington State Bar, and has worked for various stevedoring and tugboat operators on the West Coast. Jim specialises in Bodily Injury claims and is a member of the TMA BI team.
Susan Lee is a Claims Executive for P&I and FD&D. Susan is an attorney and came to TMA from a New York maritime law firm. She handles cargo claims, arbitrations and charter party disputes.
Sarah is a qualified lawyer in England and worked for a major maritime law firm in London specialising in shipping and international trade. Sarah will handle P&I and Defence claims.
