Asia Pacific Network
Since 1996 the UK P&I Club has built up the most extensive international office network of an International Group club, utilising and developing locally-based expertise and extending claims handling authority across a number of offices and their executive staff. The Asia Pacific offices have grown in strength to reflect the growing demand for advice, claims handling support and loss prevention services from Members within the Region.
These offices enable the delivery of Club service in a Member's own language and local time zone.
Hong Kong represents the focal point for service delivery in Greater China and Korea. In particular, supported by a representative offices in Shanghai, the Hong Kong Office assists and advises those Members operating within Greater China as well supporting the Club's other offices with advice for the wider Club membership engaged in trading to and from Greater China.
The Singapore office provides services to locally based Members as well as other Members based elsewhere in south-east Asia, together with support, advice and local expertise when required, for other offices serving the world-wide membership trading within the region.
The UK Club's Japan Branch office serves the Club's Japanese Members from its offices in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo. The office is co-located with the UK Club's correspondents, ISS P&I, Tokyo.
The UK P&I Club has over many years worked closely with legal, commercial and maritime organisations across the Asia Pacific region to achieve a deeper shared understanding of the P&I industry and, in particular, to further and protect the interests of its Members.
We have recently reviewed our email security arrangements in an effort to reduce the volume of potentially fraudulent emails we receive. A number of measures have been put in place to better validate the legitimacy of the email sender before allowing messages into our internal email system. Included is the use of SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record validation. This gives positive proof that the email is from a legitimate domain associated with the sender company. In the unlikely event that you have not added an SPF entry to your domain record your messages will not pass this simple validation check and cannot be received into our email system. Please ask your usual Club contact if you would like our IT specialists to discuss with your IT department.
