Bridge over troubled water ♪

On 25th April, our claims executives Lisa Clarke, George Huxley, Alexander Geoehegan and Ben Johnson had the opportunity to visit the South Shields Marine School bridge simulation suite to test out their navigational skills. 

During the visit, which was coordinated by London Offshore Consultants (LOC), each attendee had a go at steering a virtual ship through a range of scenarios, including re-enactments of recent casualties and a trip through a rather stormy Sydney harbour!  I hear they managed to avoid most of the rocks..

Through this exciting experience, the claims executives can better understand how ships should properly be navigated and the equipment that is used to do so. Importantly, they have also seen 'how not to do it'!
