Trulli

UKクラブは、フジャイラ港内でのオープンループスクラバー使用の禁止措置に関する回覧を入手しました。

The UK Club has received the attached circular from the Port of Fujairah Marine Department, regarding a recent ban on open loop scrubbers within the port.

We would like to advise Members that on 22 January 2019, the Port of Fujairah addressed a 'Notice to Mariners No 252' to all agents, bunkering companies, de-slopping companies and oil terminal users.

QUOTE

Please be advised that Port of Fujairah has decided to ban the use of open-loop scrubbers in its waters. Ships will have to use compliant fuel once the IMO 2020 sulphur cap comes into force.

UNQUOTE

Several other ports and countries have also already banned the use of open-loop scrubbers in their waters. These include Belgium, China (Inland River ECA, ports within Coastal ECAs and Bohai-rim Sea Area), California, Connecticut, Dublin port, Germany, Hawaii, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Singapore port.

If Members have any questions relating to the IMO 2020 sulphur cap, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your usual Club contact who will be pleased to assist you.
