UKクラブはマニラで開かれた船主主催のＳＩ及びシニア･オフィサー向けセミナーに講師として招かれ、シンガポール支店のCapt. Anuj Valenkarと日本支店の別宮広信がUKクラブを代表して出席しました。

The UK Club is grateful to have been invited to contribute to the senior officers seminar for Members' Misuga Kaiun which was recently held in Manila. Capt Anuj Velankar and Hironobu Bekku represented the Club at the seminar.

The Club gave a talk on bulk carrier cargo claims and means with which to mitigate the losses. Participating in the seminar allowed the Club to interact directly with the senior officers and also with the shore staff working in Members various offices in Japan, Hong Kong and Rotterdam who were also attending the seminar.

During the Manila trip, Anuj and Bekku also gave a talk to a joint gathering of office staff of the various ship managers of Members. The talk given by Capt Anuj focused on various claims and issues faced by the Members and in particular covered best practices related to carriage of timber by sea.
