The UK Club have received the following update from Freehill Hogan and Mahar, regarding the United States decision to lift sanctions on Turkey.

On October 14th the United States issued an Executive Order imposing sanctions against Turkey. The Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Turkish Ministry of National Defence were designated to the U.S. Specially Designated National List, as were the Minister of National Defence, the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Energy.

In the wake of Turkey's agreement to a ceasefire in Syria the sanctions against Turkey were lifted today and the two ministries and the three ministers have been removed from the Specially Designated Nationals List. As of now, there are no U.S. sanctions in place against Turkey.
