It has been brought to our attention that due to the proximity of Kandla to the Indian/Pakistan 

border the Kandla Port Trust is not allowing any ships with stowaways on board to berth. We understand this is being rigidly adhered to and that similar problems maybe encountered in the ports of Porbander, Jamnagar, Sikha, Okha, and Mundra. A recent incident handled by the Club has resulted in a vessel having to steam to Mumbai for a stowaway to be disembarked before returning to Kandla and being allowed to berth.
