Senior Loss Prevention Advisor Captain Anuj Velankar recently represented the UK P&I Club at seminars held on the 8th and 10th of February in Mumbai and Chennai.

The Club has be facing increasing cases related to Mental health issues with seafarers. Anuj used the opportunity to interact with the officers and raise the awareness on the subject. The interesting talks across the two cities allowed the Club to understand and discuss first hand the various stressors affecting the Members fleet and the means by which mental health issues could be prevented and also detected in time on board their fleet. Understanding the seafarers and Members needs and will also help the Club in tailoring the delivery of the its loss prevention efforts.

The Club was glad to be part of the seminar and looks forward to further such opportunities.
