UK P&I Club, a leading provider of P&I insurance and other services to the international shipping community, has relaunched a Japanese version of its website. The new website will provide Japanese seafarers, ship owners and stakeholders with a valuable portal for information, advice and industry news in their native language. 

The Japanese site will feature most of the information available on the English language site, including: articles, blogs and opinion pieces on loss prevention and insurance cover; policy information; contact details; and resources.

UK P&I Club believes the more informed the people of the industry are, the safer it will become. The launch of the new website means that the knowledge and expertise of UK P&I Club is now easily accessible to all Japanese members of the industry. 

Masaki Oiwa, the UK Club's Representative in Japan said: "We are very proud and excited to be able to offer our Members its own Japanese website. In this digital age, our Members want access to live up-to-date information on matters which affect them in their day-to-day business so they can easily be kept informed of the latest developments on a wide range of areas. This website offers users a wealth of information and insurance data, and through its social media site, the experience of interaction with the Club".

Paul Sessions, The Regional Director for Japan said: "Members and service are at the forefront of the UK Club's activities.  We aim to lead from the front, and by listening to our Members we are able to build upon and align both traditional and technological services to meet their requirements. The Japanese website is just one new exciting initiative to be launched by the UK Club for its Members, who can expect and rely upon this Club to deliver."
