Trulli

We are pleased to advise the UK P&I Club has been short listed for the SAFETY4SEA Initiative Award 2018.

This important accolade will be awarded to an organization or association that sparked, realised, or significantly contributed in any initiative fostering safer and sustainable shipping.

The UK P&I Club were selected for its strong commitment to safety on board and the well-being of crew.  The Club Loss Prevention department is the most extensive in the industry and exists with the aim to offset rising claims and maintain quality amongst Members

The UK P&I Club was the first P&I Club to take an interest in crew health over 22 years ago when we set up the PEME Programme.  More recently the UK Club remains the leading Club for loss prevention activities.  Our interests focus on the technical, ship operational aspects and include a strong focus on crew needs and welfare.  We have a designated Crew Health team with a combined experience of over 60 years expertise in the sector.

The UK P&I Club analysis and study on mental health claims in recent years generated strong interest within the maritime sector.  Pulling together the major stakeholders and charities we have initiated conversations across the industry.  Through our support and advice both members and crew can become educated on current crew health matters and trends.
