Signing on and off procedures for Crew

The Club's correspondents in Egypt MESCO (Middle East Survey & Control Office) have provided the below update on the topic of the signing on and off procedures for crew, Egyptian and other nationalities.
Among the current pandemic there has been much conflict regarding the procedures applied via local authorities whether this is the local airport authorities or port authorities.
With much information available it is worth clarifying what actually happens when crew arrive at Egypt and what should be done to avoid complications, especially when a crew member is declared sick.
