Rescuing migrants at sea is particularly topical given the on-going situation in the Mediterranean with the end of Mare Nostrum and the start of Triton. The number of migrants and refugees requiring rescue at sea has continued to rise in 2015, this has led to a number of enquiries from Members on the issue.
Because of this, the Club now has a 'Refugees at Sea' page, dedicated to providing the latest updates on the situation. Access this here:

Many engine room fires originate from oil leakages spraying onto hot exhaust surfaces.
The Coronavirus pandemic has understandably generated a significant number of enquiries and questions from Members in recent weeks. In response to these enquiries, the UK P&I Club has sought to inform Members of the guidelines it will be working to and to answer some of the more common questions received regarding the impact of COVID-19 and the operation of Club cover. These FAQs have been placed on the Club’s website.
