Wilhelmsen Ship Management Seminar
The UK P&I Club has taken part in Wilhelmsen Ship Management seminars for several years and contributed again in Singapore on the 3rd-5th Aug.
The Club was represented by Anuj Velankar who discussed some of the current losses suffered on bulk carriers and the “Refugee Crisis in the Mediterranean”. The presentation addressed some case studies, the legal obligations, best practices to prepare for and handle refugees at sea - based on our Member’s experiences and also an understanding on how the Club would cover and protect Members in such situations.
The presentation was very well received and the Club hopes to assist again in future events.
