1137 - 08/17 - Notice of Xiamen Municipal Peoples Government Measures for Upcoming BRICS - Sept 2017
Please pay special attention to Item 1 and 2 of the attached Notice, which refers to:
QUOTE:
I. During the period from 0000hrs on 1 September 2017 to 2400hrs on 6 September 2017, ships entering the waters of the Port Area of Xiamen Bay are prohibited from using fuel oil with sulphur content over 0.5%.
II. Except for the need of national economy and the people's livelihood, during the period from 0000hrs on 20 August 2017 to 2400hrs on 26 August 2017, oil tankers, chemical tankers, liquefied gas carriers and ships carrying packaged explosives, flammable gases and liquids, oxidizing substances and organic peroxides, self-reactive substances, highly toxic products, infectious substances and radioactive substances are prohibited from entering into or departing from the waters of Port Area of Xiamen Bay; during the period from 0000hrs on 27 August 2017 to 2400hrs on 6 September 2017, operations of loading and discharging dangerous goods are prohibited within the Port Area of Xiamen Bay, and ships carrying dangerous goods other than those classified as Class 8 (corrosive substances) and Class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles) are prohibited from entering into or departing from the waters of Port Area of Xiamen Bay.
