Time bars applicable under Polish law:
|Claims arising from the bill of lading||1 year|
|Other claims arising from the contract of carriage by sea including passenger claims||2 years|
|Claims arising from the time charter||2 years|
|Claims related to agency services||2 years|
|Towage and pilotage||2 years|
|Rescue at sea||2 years|
|Ships' collisions||2 years|
|Marine insurance||5 years|
Only these terms can be extended by parties' activities
|Claims "ex tort liability" (for example: damage to piers, buoys, personal injury, outsider injury, personal injury arising from a contract of employment|
|Other claims arising from economic activity, i.e. outstanding dues||3 years|
