IACS position on surveys
IACS is committed to supporting the maritime industry through the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID19 pandemic.
Please find attached the IACS letter to industry regarding the common approach towards extension of surveys. The guidelines indicate that the Special and docking surveys have the possibility for extension up to 3+3 = 6 months. Details about other surveys are also provided.

The UK P&I Club, one of the leading providers of P&I insurance and other services to the international shipping community, has appointed Anuj Velankar as Regional Loss Prevention Director.
In accordance with the Maritime Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, Maritime Safety Administration of the PRC (“MSA”) issued a notice on 27th August 2021 requiring vessels of foreign nationality that fall into the categories within to report to Chinese maritime administrations pre-entering the territorial sea of China.
