Trulli

The main navigational channel into the Port of Santos is due to be dredged to a projected depth of 15m. For this to happen two large rock are required to be removed.

Dredger YUANG DONG 007 has been tasked to carry out this operation and arrived in port late August to carry out the removal of these rocks which is expected to take about two months.

Work is now underway and during the breaking down of the rocks Teffé and Itapema, navigation in the channel will be suspended whilst blasting is performed.

Operations are due to take place daily for a period of 3 hours at a time during which navigation through the channel will be restricted.

The Club advises any vessel planning to call Santos in the next two months to contact their local agent for details.
