914 - 09/13 - Chilean AGM Regulations - Chile
The Chilean authorities have issued entry requirements for vessels entering Chile from certain ports where Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM) is known to originate. Similar to the requirements of vessels entering the USA and Canada (covered by previous Bulletins), vessels who have called at a port where AGM is known to occur must acquire a phytosanitary certificate and present it to the Chilean port authorities before the vessel is allowed to enter. Failure to do so could result in fines and delays to the vessel. The full regulatory release from the Chilean Ministry of Agricultural, Agriculture and Livestock Service is available and will go into force on the 12th February 2014.Source of information: Chilean Ministry of Agricultural, Agriculture and Livestock Service
