The Association has been recently advised that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have announced that the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rule on Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food is now final.

The earliest compliance dates for some firms begin one year after publication of the final rule in the Federal Register.

The Association recommends that Members check the FDA website periodically to obtain information and to take advantage of the Food Safety Technical Assistance Network which provides information and support during the implementation of the FSMA. Questions submitted will be answered by industry experts. Online courses will also be developed to assist in training workers during the implementation. The UK Club will issue periodic updates to keep members informed of the latest developments over the next year.
