Members employing Pakistani crew are now able to access the UK Club enhanced PEME examination in Karachi via "Seafarers Medical Examination Center" run by Dr. Mohammed Zakaria MBBS, DPH.

"The Seafarer's medical examination center is located conveniently in the heart of the city at Doctors lab and Diagnostic center 5th floor Doctors Plaza, 2 Talwar, Clifton, Karachi.

Medical examination of seafarers is conducted by qualified and experienced health professionals having a vast experience in the field of maritime health. The medical examinations is conducted under ILO, Guidelines on Medical examination of Seafarers, MCA Approved Doctor's Manual, Seafarers, Medical Examination, Ministry of Ports and shipping Circular Letter No. 005/2012 No.3 (3)/2012-CNS dated 2-9-2013.

The center is equipped with all the medical and diagnostic facilities for medical examination such as:

Clinical laboratory,

X rays,

Ultrasound and colour Doppler,

ECG,

spirometry,

audiometry,

vision and stress test.

Psychology assessment test.

The lab is ISO certified and registered with RIQAS( Randox International Quality Assessment System). The center have congenial environment with air-conditioned facility having sufficient seating arrangement, washroom facilities and car parking at the basement. The center is located in the hub of medical consultants.
