Brazil: Regulatory gap on ship-to-ship (STS) transfers filled
STS tranfers in Brazil have never been regulated but from 1 December 2021, the National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ)’s Resolution 59 of 28 October 2021 will govern such operations. Members are referred to the website of Proinde, the UK P&I Club’s Brazilian Correspondents, for details of the new regulations.
If Members have any questions relating to these regulations, your usual contact at the Club will be pleased to assist you.
