Connecticut Maritime Association: Shipping 2010 Exhibition & Conference March 22nd - 24th

Our Board Director Philippe Louis-Dreyfus, was elected to the post of Connecticut Maritime Association Commodore for the coming year at last week's Shipping 2010 event. The CMA awards this honour annually to "an individual who has significantly contributed to the dynamism, growth and development of the maritime industry."

The CMA is the largest US commercial shipping association and its annual exhibition and conference is one of the high points of the North American maritime calendar.

UK P&I regularly exhibits at the show, and this year Karl Lumbers from our London office, was invited to be the moderator of the conference session on Incident Response in North America. This session included speakers from the US Coast Guard and Department of Justice.

Thomas Miller Americas organised the UK Club's stand at the event and played host to its many visitors who included Philippe Louis-Dreyfus (Louis Dreyfus Armateurs), Peter Evensen (Teekay) and John Couloucoundis (Delta Navigation). The exhibition team consisted of TMA's Mike Jarrett, Jana Byron, Robert Shabbab, Amy Lovseth, David Grammas as well as Julie Page and Karl Lumbers from the UK.
