The Philippines was the first area of development for the UK P&I Club Crew Health programme 20 years ago with just 2 clinics and 5 members participating in the enhanced medical scheme. Over the last 20 years the numbers of medicals in addition to the clinics serving members has grown considerably. Clinics are currently located in the capital city of Manila and key areas in the regions with more growth planned for 2017.
The strong working relationship between the UK P&I Club and all approved clinics is built on excellent communication and backed by a stringent audit process. These steps ensure an efficient screening function which serves the needs of many UK P&I Club members sourcing crew from this key area of recruitment.
