SCI Mountain Challenge 2017

The SCI Mountain Challenge 2017 is a biennial fundraising event providing teams of competitors with the opportunity to push their physical limits in support of mariners who face extreme conditions every day to keep our modern way of life afloat.

Now in its third year, Our Thomas Miller team took on the two day challenge which included a course running through the stunning Sunday River area of Western Maine. Although now have all returned to the office safe and sound, the team faced roughly 11 miles of hiking followed by 11 miles of canoeing on the first day alone. This was quite the endurance test, with the total ascent more than 2,530 ft! On the second day another 8 miles of hiking lay ahead, and although muscles must of been aching the great teamwork on display ensured the finish line was well within reach.

Well done to all those who participated. if you would like to sponsor the team, you can do so here.
