Press Release: UK P&I PEME Programme expands clinic network to include Russia
The PEME Programme, part of UK P&I Club's Loss Prevention department, announces an expansion of its existing clinic network to include Russia through the services of AP Companies Global Solutions, which has joined the PEME network as healthcare provider in this region.
This new arrangement means members' crew located in Russia and the former Soviet Union will now be able to access quality medical facilities within their own region. These clinics also include local screening facilities for crew, which will help remove the need for crew (and members) to bear additional expenses of travel and accommodation, which are often added to the recruitment and medical screening process.
Crew will be able to contact AP Companies Global Solutions directly for medical appointments and screenings. All examination data, reporting and results will be overseen by AP Companies. Once medical results are available and fitness decisions made, AP Companies Global Solutions will advise the UK P&I Club PEME team.
Sophia Bullard, PEME Programme Director at UK P&I Club said: "AP Companies Global Solutions provides a professional "one call" service solution for members' crew medicals to ensure effective control on costs and excellent communication and reporting services.
"We are very excited to work with them as healthcare provider for our PEME services in Russia and encourage members to contact us for further information on how to enroll in the UK P&I Club PEME scheme."
Radmila Sarkisyan, International Project Manager at AP Companies Global Solutions added: "It's a big honour and pleasure for us to service such a reputable and leading company as UK P&I Club.
"With a network of more than 37,000 direct medical providers, we are one of the world's leading medical assistance companies. We have been providing access to crew and members of their families around the world for almost a decade, so our partnership with UK P&I Club is in line with our strategy to expand our network in the marine industry. We are looking forward to extending our professional medical care to UK P&I Club members' and their crew."
