As far as we are aware Qatar has neither ratified the 1976 Convention of Liability for Maritime Claims. The State of Qatar has however enacted Law No.15 which is the Qatar Maritime Code.

Any claim arising out of a contract of insurance/ any claim for recovery of sums paid under the contract of insurance | 2 years from the date upon which the insurance premium becomes due or from the date upon which the right of recovery arose |
