Yemen - Port Updates

The following update has been received from the Association's correspondent, GAC Agency Co. (Yemen) Ltd. 

We are given to understand by our GAC Hodeidah office, that the Yemeni Red Sea Ports - Hodeidah and Saleef - are still open and operational as normal, despite recent events. The Sana'a authorities announced that they are only targeting Israeli ships or those trading with Israel. They did not mention any other nationality. We will keep watching the situation and update the Club as and when required. 

The Yemeni Gulf of Aden ports are operating as normal.

Our Club correspondents Huatai has provided the following update after dealing with a number of ships which were punished by the Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) for failing to fly, improperly flying, or flying a damaged or defiled National Flag of the People's Republic of China. 

On 3 April, the Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) of the People's Republic of China issued a notice on the special action to prevent mechanical and electrical equipment failures on ships
