Mooring Safety Webinar - The "After-Hour" | UK P&I Club
After the UK Club webinar on mooring operations a follow up bonus session was held with the industry to discuss the practical challenges and how these are overcome.
The session was hosted by Capt Anuj Velankar of the UK P&I club and on the panel were Capt Deepak Gupta ( Anglo Eastern Shipmanagement), Capt Abhijith Balakrishnan (Scorpio India) and Capt Clint Bout (Hafnia).
Among the various issues discussed in the one hour session were the impact of MEG4 on the industry, the gap between tankers and dry cargo vessels, issues with brake testing and MBL, the calculation of the residual strength criteria, training issues and finally conducting a proper accident investigation.
Issues discussed were based on questions asked by the audience during registration and also from the issues raised by the live audience.
The recording will be of great interest to office teams in marine and technical departments in the management of mooring issues, as well as senior shipboard staff.
