On 3 April, the Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) of the People's Republic of China issued a notice on the special action to prevent mechanical and electrical equipment failures on ships

Our Club correspondents Huatai has provided the following update after dealing with a number of ships which were punished by the Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) for failing to fly, improperly flying, or flying a damaged or defiled National Flag of the People's Republic of China. 

The UK P&I Club received the following update from Harpaz P&I, a local Israeli correspondent, regarding the port situation in Israel.

The Club would like to draw Members' attention to the latest circular from Oasis P&I Services relating to the expanding of fishery farms around the route to Yantai Port.

Members with ships calling at Singapore are recommended to refer to the Port Marine Circular 23-10 issued by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) regarding the implementation of a "Just-in-Time" planning and coordination platform.

Recently, the Tianjin, Liaoning, Hebei and Shandong MSA jointly published a total of 27 main public routes in the Bohai Sea and its eastern waters, which has been implemented since 18th December 2023

Recently, the reference routes for common navigational methods in Haizhou Bay was jointly published by Lianyungang and Shandong MSA in order to smooth the traffic lanes between different port areas in Haizhou Bay and reduce the risk of collision between merchant and fishing vessels.
