Laura Starr

Head of Account Planning and Management

Laura is the Head of Account Planning and Management at the UK P&I Club.

She joined the Club as a Senior Claims Executive in 2016, after 12 years in private practice. During her time in private practice, Laura became a Senior Associate solicitor with a leading international shipping law firm and spent three years working in the firm’s Shanghai office where she also studied Mandarin.

Since joining the Club Laura has spent a total of 10 years working in our EMEA claims syndicates, including 3 years as Syndicate Manager of EMEA1. She moved into her role as Head of Account Planning and Management in April, 2026.

Laura is also a Supporting Member of the LMAA and a Senior Claims Director for the UK Defence Club.
